China Glaze Spring 2014 City Flourish Collection Swatches

Hi Guys! This is my first post with swatches, I never thought that this would be so difficult, I'm not an expert at taking pictures so all this photos are screenshots of videos that I took, I'm going to work on that for my next post with swatches, I promise ;)

Well, this is the China Glaze Spring 2014 City Flourish Collection, they are 12 shades in total but I only picked 8 Shades ( i'm proud of myself LOL ) , the 4 shades that I didn't picked were: Thistle Do Nicely, Strike a Rose, Don't Honk Your Thorn and In a Lily bit.

I always love the spring collections of China Glaze, so I was super excited when I saw this collection at my Local Sally's, I picked the prettiest shades in my opinion, I do love the shades but the formula of this collection its a little bit weird, some of them are very streaky or have a matte finish.

1. At Vase Value

At Vase Value is one of my favorite shades of the entire collection, I have an obsession with mint nail polishes!

This is a Baby blue with a hint of mint creme polish, the formula of this shade was very streaky, in this photo I used 2 coats and it have a weird matte finish, but nothing that a good top coat can't fix it!

2. Grass is Lime Greener
To be honest with you, I don't like green nail polishes, I only bought this because St. Patricks day it's coming up and I have planned some tutorials and I needed a pretty green.

Also because the name of this shade reminds me the  "As told by Ginger" theme song intro LOL (Someone once told me the grass is much greener on the other side (8))

But I have to say that this shade looks great on my skin tone, it is almost a neon pastel green, the formula was streaky too, I used 3 coats.

3. Lotus Begin

Oh my God, Do I need to say that I love lilac nail polishes? If you follow me on instagram you may know that I have A LOT!

Lotus Begin is also one of my favorites of this collection, it is a light purple creme polish the formula was a little bit thin, I only needed to apply 2 coats, this is a nice shade for spring :)

4. Metro Pollen-tin

Mac 'n Cheese! haha this is the perfect way to describe this shade.

I love it, the formula is thin, I used 3 coats.

5. Spring in My Step

I was so excited to get Spring in my Step, this is a Peachy pink nude shade, I love it so much it makes my hands looks clean and polished and its a perfect color to wear for spring.

The only thing that I don't like is that is extremely difficult to apply, seriously, the formula was super sheer and streaky. I used 4 coats, 4 COATS! That's a lot,,, A'int nobody got time for that!

6. Metal to the Petal

Metal to the Petal is a gorgeous bright pink with coral undertones that screams SUMMER to me, not spring, but I really love this shade and its what i'm wearing right now!

The formula of this shade was ok, I used 2 coats

7. What a Pansy

What a Pansy its the perfect Periwinkle shade for this spring, the formula was ok too, I used 2 coats .

If you are looking for a dupe of this shade, "Forever Young" by PINK Victoria Secret is a super similar shade.

8. Peonies & Park Ave.

Another shade that screams summer! Peonies & Park Ave it's a bright pink with blue undertones, I think this particular shade looks great on people who have light skin.

I do love this shade but for some reason it makes my skin looks darker.

If you want to see closeups of the shades, here's the video:

Thanks!
xoxo Mafer
